well it's safe. depends how you install it i guess. right torque etc you know no impact... also anyspacer under 20 mm will come with longer stud i saw few spacer that has built in on them but it requires your stock stud to be cut. which i really don't feel comfortable with. from what i understand every bolt on the car is you torque it once they strech to fit. well for wheel stud i know you can't always replace them when ever you take the wheels off. but needs to torque them right. most of the shop(well almost every shop out there) they use impact to tighten them. kevin this is what happens if you impact the lug nuts everytime. your stud will strech and one point it gets weak and snap!!! i believe most brand name company that makes wheel spacers uses same grade of bolt or stronger on stud. to me it's matter of who installs it and how. if your wheel is installed right your stud shouldn't break off. if it shakes that means either something is loose or something is not stright. i mean these companies uses machines to cut the spacers so they're pretty much stright. if it shakes that means something is lose and if lug nut is lose and your wheel wabbles thats when you break the stud really easy.
as of now my car runs smoother then before and handles little better. im thinking about getting some spacers on the front but didn't measured yet. most ppl use spacers with stud already pressed on them since it's eaiser and less work. also i don't think longer stud is more safer then one with pressed stud. longer the stud it gets more chance to get strech point and break them easier. but i haven't seen ppl with spacer breaking the stud. i've seen a lot of factory ones broken or lost. about 90% or more had either brake job or tire replacement few days ago or something. what this tells me?
