So, I ordered the Gilmour Foamaster II Foam Gun and the Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss from Detailed Image and decided to wash my car today. Oh boy, this thing works like a charm.

And clean!!!

Richie you do know you just stripped off all the wax on your car right?

I just sprayed the soap and then rinsed it and then did the traditional hand-wash with car wash. Looks good to me.

That's what I use to strip off wax

You are right on that Jay. I actually never used the product before or any sorts of product similar to it. I think I should have done more research on this lol! So, I asked the vendor if I messed up on the method. And here is what he had to say:

"Richard,

Typically I use the gun to help mist foam on the vehicle.  I then take my wash mitt and wash that area of the vehicle with a bucket of water and my mitt.  I rinse that section and repeat the process rinsing the vehicle as I proceed.
The method you did is certainly not wrong at all.  That method probably helped get rid of a lot of the very loose contamination and started breaking up more stubborn build ups.
With either method the paint was nice and clean and ready to be sealed or waxed when you were done.  Just pull the vehicle in to a shady area and dry it off.  Then just apply your favorite wax or sealant like normal.
Swirl marks usually come from improper washing and drying techniques or faulty products used in the process.  I highly recommend you read our Washing and Drying section of our Detailing Guide on our home page.  This will help you maximize this process and get the best results.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Greg @ Detailed Image"
